I think I’d be upset if “an avalanche of ground asphalt” landed on my car, no matter what kind of roof it had. Let alone all over the inside of a convertible.

If it had been me driving I’d have been real glad that I had the top down. Tops aren’t all that damage-resistant, and they’re expensive to replace, w hereas shampoo i s cheap.
